
The Wall Street Journal recently wrote an excellent article minus all the panic you hear about the housing market. In reality, the market is obviously pretty far off it’s highs but many pockets are doing well.  The most important rule to doing well in real estate is, location. On Chicago’s North Shore, the lake and access to easy public transportation have always been it’s primary attractions. Historically, North Shore real estate has proven to be pretty stable in previous downturns. Often the media tends to sensationalize the trouble spots in the market, forgetting the stable areas.
